I play piano for wedding receptions & civil ceremonies - parties - dinners - corporate events - special anniversaries & birthdays.
These are the styles I offer:
Standards: Cole Porter, George Gershwin, Rodgers & Hart
Light Classics: Favourites from popular composers, including traditional wedding music
Jazz of the '20s & '30s, Ragtime, Boogie-Woogie & Blues: Scott Joplin, Fats Waller
Pop Classics from the '60s, 70s & 80s: Elton John, The Beatles,
Simon & Garfunkel, Andrew Lloyd-Webber
Singalong: the '20s - '70s, including wartime favourites.
I play by ear and music and am therefore happy to include requests.
Travel
I have appeared throughout the South West region including Bristol, Hereford, the Pump Rooms in Bath and Cheltenham and over one hundred appearances at 'The Vineyard at Stockcross' near Newbury, owned by Sir Peter Michael, Founder and Chairman of Classic FM.
Since 2001 I have played regularly at the prestigious Hare & Hounds Hotel next to Highgrove.
Dress
Practical dress options are black tie; dinner jacket; jacket with tie or bow tie; lounge suit or more casual.
The Piano
A good quality piano at the venue can be used or a top quality electronic piano can be supplied. All that is needed is a firm base and a power point reasonably close.
